November 2nd 2008

Now then! We have been a bit busy recently, but decided to get out and take advantage of the weather yesterday. We found a great spot about 20 minutes drive from our house, with some nice walking routes, and Hana loved seeing all the big trees and butterflies.

We stopped for a break and had a few rice balls, and Hana had a bottle of milk.
Then she fell asleep on the way back, so I swapped the pouch around so she was on my back.
Then we stumbled upon this place, and decided we should go home and get the dogs and let them have a run about. This plain was on the side of a mountain, and it used to be used for horse riding competitions years ago. It's miles away from any roads, and there was no one about, so thought Koo and Boo would enjoy having a chance to be off the lead.

The dogs were instantly in Jack Russell mode, and could be heard rustling though the under growth looking for rabbits. There are a few wild rabbits around here actually, but the dogs didn't find any.

Koo found an area that has just been made into an off road Jeep course, and took the opportunity to mess around in the soil, and get nice and dirty.

We are going to keep this spot our secret family place where we can go and play with the dogs, eat picnics and go for long walks. I have been looking for somewhere like this near our house for ages, now we have finally found a decent place. It's nice to get out and about and enjoy the countryside every now and again.

Anyway, that's all for now. I have just uploaded a load of photos from the Halloween Costume Competition on the Gallery page, so please have a look if you have time,

thanks,

Eddie.
